Credit scores & reports
Scores range from 300 to 900. A score of 750 or above is generally viewed as strong, though each lender sets its own criteria and also considers income and existing obligations.
No. Checking your own score is a soft enquiry and has no impact. Only hard enquiries, made by lenders when you apply for credit, are recorded.
Yes. Under RBI directions you are entitled to one free full credit report every calendar year from each of the four credit bureaus. Download it from the bureau’s official website.
From January 2025, lenders report data to bureaus at least every 15 days. Disputes should be resolved within 30 days under RBI’s framework. Building positive history takes several months of consistent behaviour.
A settled status is accurate if you settled the loan. In some cases, paying the remaining dues and obtaining a closure letter allows the lender to update the status to "closed". This depends on the lender.
Privacy & security
Never. We will never ask for OTPs, net-banking credentials, card PINs or bureau account passwords. If anyone claiming to be us does, do not share and report it to us.
Only your contact details to start. For a review, you share the credit report you downloaded yourself. We collect only what is needed to help you.
Your information is used only to provide the service you request, is not sold, and is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
